Jaipur: A first-year law student in Jaipur committed suicide on Tuesday by jumping off a building in the city’s Shivdaspura area.
According to DCP (South) Yogesh Goyal, the family of the deceased Kartik Kumawat has filed a FIR against a girl and others in connection with the suicide.
Mangi Lal Vishnoi, SHO (Shivdaspura), stated that Kumwat was a Jaipur resident who was attending law school. On Tuesday, he jumped off a building and died.
“A case has been filed in the matter under IPC Sectio 306 (Abettement of Suicide) on the basis of a complaint lodged by the deceased’s family,” he added.
The Jaipur police said they were looking at the issue from all angles to find out what led Kumawat to take such drastic measures. The city police have also stated that they had visited the location where Kumawat died as part of their inquiry.
Police also stated that the people named in the FIR would be questioned to determine their role in the case: “The case has been filed, and an investigation is currently underway. We are looking into the complaints made by the family “said a government official.
